Friends of Shalom,
We are officially in our second month of gathering on Saturday nights in Old Town Silverdale. Advent has begun as we enter into a season of repentance and waiting for Messiah. Some highlights from the past two weeks.
- One family brought a neighbor who is friends with their daughter. She told us it was her first time in a church and it seemed like she had a great time!
- We've been taking turns reading the scriptures during evening prayer. Last week we had one of our older elementary kids read one of the lessons. When she came into the building she said, "I'm excited, I've been practicing all day!" That made my night!
- We got word that we have our first official sponsoring church that has committed to $500 a month!
- Many in our core group have also begun giving to Shalom.
- Our core continues growing in our Anglican identity and community together!
Thank you for your continued prayers.
Here is a link to the weekly word that I did last week. This week I've been sick and so I wasn't able to get one done.
I'd also like to share this resource regarding the Book of Common Prayer. This is a great introduction for any who are interested.
You can also find this on any streaming service you use for your podcasts.
For the Shalom of Kitsap,
Rob and Beth
